A brass & glass party
ARABELLA’S 1ST BIRTHDAY AT HOME
Arabella Jean’s 1st birthday was celebrated at home with her loving family and friends.
A theme of brass and glass graced the lunch and cake tables with brass cake stands, platters, bowls and vases bringing the glam and cut glass salad bowls, platters and bowls adding the vintage vibe. Pops of purple and green completed the look thanks to beautiful delphiniums and lisianthus from Libertine Florist.
Lunch was a shared style affair of beef & lamb kofte, mini turkey burgers, fattoush salad, spiced chickpea salad and Cypriot grain salad. While dessert was an overflowing cake table filled with donuts, raspberry brownies, ricotta cake, fresh cherries and berries, and flowerfetti inspired birthday cake – all made by Arabella’s mum, grandmothers and aunties.
Vintage decorations from Betty May included brass vases in assorted sizes stacked on vintage books; Queen Anne dresser with Mason jar style dispensers and silver ice bucket; polaroid style photos printed with Origrami hung to our old four panelled door; cut glass compotes and platters; glass cake stands; brass cake stands, platters and bowls; silver serving tongs; brass candlestick holders; easel and blackboard; and vintage scales.
Adding a modern touch to the vintage styled birthday party were cake toppers, party cups, party bags and stickers by Ruby Rabbit Partyware and mini golf foil balloon with tassels, kraft paper dishes and striped straws from Poppies with Grace.
